Arama Kukutai is the CEO of Plenty. Plenty is a global leader in Indoor Agriculture technology, and has raised $1B over the last decade to advance new technology to grow diverse plants for food and other applications, and is operating commercial farms in the US, and developing new locations including the GCC. Arama has been an investor, company founder and entrepreneur in the Agribusiness and Food sectors for over 25 years. He is of New Zealand Māori descent, with affiliations to Waikato, Maniapoto and Te Aupōuri iwi (tribes) and is active in indigenous land and economic development. An active speaker, writer and thought leader in agriculture, sustainability, technology innovation and related investment trends, Arama brings vast global operating experience to Plenty as it has grown from research to commercial operations. Arama holds law and business/agronomy degrees from the Victoria University of Wellington (NZ).
