Lucas Stocco

Lucas Stocco is a PhD candidate in Organisational Management, specialising in Innovation and Sustainability at the University of São Paulo (FEA-RP/USP) and a visiting PhD student at Imperial College London Business School. His research focuses on sustainability strategies within supply chains, particularly in the context of indigenous communities in the Amazon Rainforest. Lucas investigates how these communities engage in the Brazil nut supply chain, utilising entrepreneurial initiatives like cooperatives and associations to commercialise this critical resource. His work explores the complex human-forest interactions shaped by Indigenous cultural and social practices. It examines these practices' broader impacts on extraction and commercialisation processes within emerging supply chains. Additionally, his research highlights the potential contributions of these systems towards creating more regenerative supply chains and ecosystems.
