My research investigates the social practices of organizations and (financial) markets, with a particular emphasis on exploring strategizing practices in complex, often paradoxical, settings. My research projects include studies of the New Zealand Science Sector, the reinsurance industry, and public-private collaborations to address the grand challenge of global insurance protection gaps. I am also an expert in qualitative methods, publishing on issues such as global ethnography, studying paradoxes, and writing persuasive ethnographic findings. My research has been published in top-tier management journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Studies, Human Relations, Long Range Planning, and Strategic Organization. I also serve as an Editorial Review Board Member for Academy of Management Journal, Organizational Research Methods, Organizational Studies, and Strategic Organization.
